When I took a look at the calendar earlier last week, I realized it had been 4 years since my husband proposed to me. His proposal didn’t come with all of the pomp and circumstance but it was perfect. It was just so us — and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Here we are in 2020, in the midst of COVID-19. We haven’t ever been one of those couples that always needed to be out and about. However, we definitely miss our intermittent date nights. Our typical date nights would consist of drinks over a nice dinner, a movie, or even a visit to the range. Because it isn’t as safe to venture out anymore, our activities have been reduced to things we can do at home — which quickly gets old.

That’s why I’m so glad we found Spouzal. Spouzal is a premiere couples membership community that provides opportunities for you to spend quality time with your hunny. We have opted to enjoy their virtual option, which includes the following perks —
- Access to Red Connection
- Member-Wide Virtual Events
- Curated Marriage Board
- (4) Curated Virtual Red Experiences
- Discounted Professional Services (ex. counseling, referrals, etc)
- Travel & Lifestyle Benefits
For our first Spouzal virtual event, we mixed it up with Sam Remboldt, the founder of Fancy Sips! I’ve never done a mixology class, so it was a cool experience to finally do one — even virtually.

We received our shopping list ahead of time, which helped us to arrive prepared. We made two drinks that were created by our instructor — An Apple Cider Mule and the Jack-o-Lantern. I loved them both the Jack-o-Lantern is definitely my new go-to drink. The instructions were easy to follow, and I really felt like I knew what I was doing by the time we got to the second drink.
Our favorite part of this virtual event was being able to get to know other couples in a way that was safe for everyone involved. Hubby and I tend to stick to our respective circles. However, being in the virtual presence of new company was a great experience. We had opportunities to share about ourselves, our spouses, and even discuss current events.

Though I’m the one that tends to indulge in beverages more than my hubby, he was excited to learn how to make these drinks with me. Time has really gotten away from us lately with me working from home, and us having kids that are e-learning. Therefore, being able to enjoy ourselves at home was definitely a plus!
